In Quebec, French is the official language of public administration. Consequently, all health and social service institutions offer their services in French. However, some people are more comfortable communicating in English, and they have the right to ask to receive services in English. The Act Respecting Health Services and Social Services ensures that a broad range of health services is accessible in English. In accordance with this act, the CISSS de Chaudière-Appalaches adopted the program for access to health and social services in English. This program aims to make available to English-speaking people a range of health and social services in English that is as complete as possible and as close as possible to the living environment of these people
